The most familiar and widespread goose
in North America, the Canada Goose can be found in all kinds of water
all across the continent, from the tundra to the Gulf Coast. Geese
eat a variety of plant species and parts, especially grasses, sedges,
grain, and berries. Life long pair bonds are formed usually during
the second year of breeding. Offspring remain with their parents throughout
the first year of life, traveling together in large flocks of family
groups.
