On
our summer vacation to Olympic National Park in Washington
last summer, we discovered Ruby Beach. We were staying
at Kalaloch and decided to drive the 8 miles north to Ruby Beach
after dinner. As we walked down the path toward the beach
this spectacular sunset spread its light across the beach. The beach below was covered with marvelous rock structures (sea
stacks) sculpted by the waves. Logs carried ashore had been left
on the beach. We sat on a log and soaked up the whole magic scene
before us.
